Killaloe Homestead

There's nothing like a stone wall to ground your home and place. In Renfrew County, remains of dry stone walls demarcating farmer's fields stand as a testament to the hard life of those who dwelled in this area. We constructed the entry way of this reconstructed heritage farm house with an eye to rooting it to its past, with retaining garden walls made of local limestone and boulders found on the property.
